Connecticut Sun signs Ka-Deidre Simmons to training camp contract

Connecticut Sun has signed signed guard Ka-Deidre Simmons to what should be a training camp contract.

Simmons joins the Sun after collegiate career at Seton Hall, where she played under current Sun coach Anne Donovan for two seasons before Donovan left Seton Hall for the Sun.

In her senior season Simmons averaged 17 points, 5.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game.

Didi could have left the program many times over as she played for multiple coaches. And as a grad student this past season she would not have had to sit a year. But she remained loyal to the school and we owe her a great debt of thanks. Without Simmons the program would be nowhere close to where it is now.
