The University of Maryland graduate transfer and NJ shore resident will play for the Pirates this fall.

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced today the addition of Maryland transfer Faith Masonius (Belmar, N.J.) to the program.

Masonius is a graduate transfer and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

"We are so happy to be able to add a player with Faith's ability and tremendous leadership skills," Bozzella said. "When recruiting, we always strive to keep local talent home, and with Faith, we love that she'll be playing her final collegiate year in her back yard."

Masonius is a highly-versatile, 6-foot-1, guard/forward that can affect the game in several ways. She spent five years at the University of Maryland and appeared in 138 games averaging 6.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. Masonius has a .496 shooting percentage in nearly 700 career field goal attempts.

Known for being an excellent teammate and University representative, she received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for women's basketball and the Big Ten Outstanding Sportsmanship Award given to one athlete across all sports at the University of Maryland in 2023. On the court, her last three games as a Terrapin were three of her best when she averaged 14.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments.

Prior to attending Maryland, Masonius was a four-star recruit and ranked No. 25 overall by Blue Star. She was the No. 10 overall wing by ESPN. A First Team All-State selection, she scored over 2,000 career points for Manasquan High School and led her team to three straight NJSIAA Group 2 titles.
