Gibbs, Delgado or no big deal

With Angel Delgado sharing the Metro award for co frosh of the year and Sterling Gibbs making the Metro second team as announced yesterday which choice do you see as the more glaring error?

Or do you think the vote was a fair one?

I'll say Gibbs. At least Delgado didn't get beaten out for BE FOY. Gibbs being 2nd team all MET is a joke.

With a month to go in the season Gibbs was being considered in the conversation for league POY. Find it hard to believe 30 days or so later after the season was over he's not a top 5 Metro area player.

+1, me either, which has to be what happened. It's the only "logical" conclusion for the snub.

A.J. English was involved in a fight in Iona's game at St. Peter's. He was ejected and suspended for the incident, but not snubbed in the voting. Of course, video of the English incident didn't make the national media. English was also involved in a chippy incident in the MAAC title game, and probably should have been ejected. He still made first-team All-Met even though he has more of a repuation for that type of thing than Gibbs.
