NORMAN, OKLA. – Seton Hall’s J.T. Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) and Ryan Snouffer (Sparta, N.J.) were named 2015 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars.

A total of 206 players in Division I, 91 in Division II and 17 in NAIA earned the honor. Additionally, 34 honorees were added to the previously released Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Harper completed his fine collegiate career at Seton Hall with his finest year to date. The recent graduate competed in all 11 tournaments and recorded a career-best 74.52 stroke average. His 73.81 stroke average for the fall season was second-best on the team and he collected two top-10 finishes. An Academic Merit Award recipient, Harper shot four sub-par rounds last year and helped lead the Pirates to their first tournament victory since 2012, shooting a 3-over-par, 71-74-145 at the Navy Fall Classic. His top performance of the year was a ninth place finish at the Patriot Intercollegiate where he shot just 1-over-par with an impressive 70-74-70-214.

Snouffer also played in all 11 tournament this year and led the Pirates with a 72.75 stroke average during the fall season. A newcomer to the team after transferring from Adelphi, he led the team with five, top-10 finishes in 2014-15 and recorded seven sub-par rounds. In one of the single-best tournament performances in Seton Hall history, Snouffer shot a career-low 4-under-par with a 69-72-71-212 to finish second at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. He also shot 1-under-par at the Navy Fall Classic to help lead the Pirates to a team title. Additionally, 100 percent of his rounds this year contributed to the team’s score. Snouffer’s remarkable first season in South Orange resulted in him being named to the All-BIG EAST Team and the PING All-Region I Team.

Snouffer and the rest of the Pirates will return to the links when the fall season opens on September 6 for the first two of three rounds at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y.
