Long Island Lutheran finished off their historic season as one of the top programs in the entire country and could possibly be even better this year. They recently had their brand new unique transfer 6’10” 5 star F Alier Maluk (Long Island Lutheran HS, NY '25)commit to Florida State,but LuHi still had one big left on the board.
That would be 6’9” PF Godswill Erheriene (Long Island Lutheran HS, NY '24) who was one of the top front court players in the country still available until he announced he will committing to Seton Hall.
Erheriene originally got noticed by everyone when he started at Iona Prep (NY) but when he got to Upper Brookville he took his game to the next level. He is rebounding on the defensive end better than ever. He is extremely active on the offensive, and he does an excellent job of positioning himself in the post. He has a terrific touch inside with either hand. The strong forward has gotten more comfortable shooting. He better at blocking shots, communicates well during screens and is an A+ teammate. His dedication to the game and his craft are really starting to pay off plus we are confident he will just keep getting better.
Seton Hall has been on fire not only with the addition of Erheriene, but they may also have landed their point guard of the future in 6’5” Jasheem Felton (Combine Academy, NC ‘24) who they recently added as well. This could be a very deadly 1-2 combo for the Pirates next season and honestly for years to come. They also don’t seem to be done with their current class and still have a couple of big local names they could potentially bring in. Erheriene recently had a key visit which seem to seal the deal for the Pirates over schools like St. John’s, Maryland, St. Bonaventure and Georgia Tech. We love the moves so far for Seton Hall and think Erheriene will be a cornerstone piece of their program moving forward.
