Not surprising that Washington is transferring from Iona. He had spent two long years at Minnesota with young Pitino as his coach and couldn’t wait to run away. Now after one year at Iona all of a sudden his Pitino nightmare comes back to haunt him with the hiring of elder Pitino. You know what happened in Minnesota with young Pitino was well known by the elder. So there was little if no chance for him at Iona. The only question seems to be is what took Washington so long to enter the transfer portal.
