- Seton Hall will open with No. 23 USC, who the Pirates are 2-1 against all-time.
- Its last meeting against the Trojans came on Nov. 20, 2008 at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off, a 63-61 Pirates victory.

- Dre Davis scored 17 points and Kadary Richmond posted his fourth career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Pirates' 72-51 win over Wagner on Saturday.
- Isaiah Coleman was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after averaging 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and shooting 8-of-14 from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Pirates.
- After allowing 71 points on Saturday against UAlbany, the Pirates regained their defensive identity by allowing just 51 points and holding Wagner to 31 percent shooting from the floor and 23 percent shooting from deep.
- Through four games, Seton Hall ranks 21st nationally and second in the BIG EAST in scoring defense (59.0 ppg) and 26th nationally and first in the BIG EAST in three-point defense (24.8 pct).
