Seton Hall's National Championship - 1953 NIT Final vs St. John's

This was obviously well before my time, but the NIT was huge back then.

Richie Regan - the gift that keeps on giving. No Richie no Big East for SHU.

Richie was friendly with my brother in law. I was leaving the RAC after a nice SH win and Richie is next to me. I introduce myself to him and he stops and talks with me for a few minutes. Nice Memory.

We think we have money problems now. At the meeting when the schools agreed to join the BE they said lets all put up $25k (chum change) to seal our commitment. I bet only Richie broke into a sweat as he shook on it.

THANK GOD for Bill Eyers who came up with the dough.

Great footage. What is the story behind Dukes wearing no. 20 in the NIT final, yet no. 5 is his retired number?

Didn't realized Walter went to the prep. His N.Y. Times obit says he moved to NJ "to attend Seton Hall Prep" in 1948.
