Weird Walz has nothing to say

At some point there needs to be a line drawn.

Indeed and we'll dance around it depending on which party your rooting for.

I think intentionally mishandling classified documents, or watching your supporters breach the capital and do nothing to tell them to turn back are far worse than a DUI from 30 years ago as it relates to the qualifications for this particular job.

I think Trump has many policy arguments in his favor this cycle. I'd stick with those over the moral arguments.

Weird Walz has nothing to say

No one is.

It's the suggestion that a person can not learn from a dumb decision 30 years prior that seems off.
He's lucky he didn't hurt someone (and would not be on the ticket if he did) but it is something he can learn from and appears he did.
I don’t agree with the characterization that it’s just a dumb decision. Drunk driving is making a conscious choice to endanger the lives of others. It gets minimized too often. I hope Walz learned his lesson, but he is running to be Vice President. At some point there needs to be a line drawn.

Weird Walz has nothing to say

It’s a reflection of character, regardless of when it happened. There is never an excuse to drink and drive, let alone drink and drive recklessly. Only selfish and reckless POS get behind the wheel when they are hammered, putting the lives of others in danger.

Nobody has ever died as the result of a “falsified business record” People are killed everyday by drunk drivers. Disqualifying for any candidate for executive office.

Conversely if the Republican VP candidate had been convicted of drunk driving we’d be hearing about it non stop from the mainstream media. Yet barely a word about it when it’s a Dem.
but they make a good SHU coach right?

Sorry, I am not going to condemn a person as bad because he or she cheated on their spouse. Moreover, I won't then accuse someone else of being a cheater for having a different opinion than you. They may have done a bad thing but it does not make them a bad person. I guess because this is a Catholic school all the morality police with their noses in the air have to condemn a guy who has done a. lot of good for a lot of people and institutions.

I know what bad people are. I am glad people on this board have not run into these bad people who consider a guy who cheats on his spouse as a bad person. I wonder how many of the great people who have walked this earth will now be considered bad based upon this standard.

Let's go through some: Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr, FDR, JFK., David Petraeus I am sure there are countless of universally admired men who are now considered bad guys based upon this standard.
Why do you keep ignoring all of the other issues with Hobbs beyond cheating on his wife?

Pat Hobbs abruptly resigns as Rutgers AD

I'm not gonna condemn Hobbs for cheating. But his leaving and citing health issues and then hearing about some really bad management of the gymnastics program that looks and smells like favoritism to his Gumad sure does not look good for Rutgers and real bad for Hobbs. Feels slimy and dishonest to me, but I am sure I don't know all the facts.

Pat Hobbs abruptly resigns as Rutgers AD

yeaaa affairs definitely make you a bad guy ,what bones do you have in your closet?

people grow apart all the time but betraying trust , lying , and doing things behind a partners back absolutely makes you a bad person. one of the most upsetting things you can do to somebody.

thats not even mentioning the worse part of the scandal

Let’s just excuse him for everything he said. What about when he said the Constitution should be suspended? How many times do you have to excuse his words? Second of all, boost the American energy sector? lol government does not drill. Private companies do. Second, under Biden, the country has produced more oil in the past two years than ever was done under Trump.

You then Ignore all my other factors of why his called a dictator.
Two very simple questions for you.

1. Do you really believe Donald Trump will be America’s version of Stalin, Mussolini, Mao, etc?
2. Are you denying that using this type of language can lead to political violence?

Because that’s exactly what Harris is insinuating when she uses the word Dictator. I truly can’t believe any rational person could endorse that, especially after the assasination attempts on Trump and Steve Scalise in recent years.

Weird Walz has nothing to say

Not for anything but DWI is not a crime. Quasi-criminal at best. Trump has committed felony crimes. Your excuse of paper work crime would excuse every white collar crime that has ever occurred including Madoff. Hey. It’s only a paper crime.
Except Trump is not Bernie Madoff, and as far as I’m aware there are no victims of the “crime” he was convicted of in New York.

I can’t believe anyone would debate the depravity of drunk driving. Every drunk driver willingly puts the lives of others at risk. Especially one who drives 95 in a 55.

But hey, at least it’s only quasi-criminal, right?

Harris

Must have learned that from Abraham Lincoln.
lol. That is a fair comparison. Lincoln suspending the writ of habeas corpus with Trump wanting to actually "terminate" the constitution for what?????? oh yeah -losing the election.

I know you are kidding but just to clarify. the right to suspend the writ of habeas corpus is actually within the Constitution. The Constitution provided the that the write may be suspended in cases of rebellion.

Kauschke Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, Pétursson Also Recognized

NEW YORK - After scoring the lone goal to help the Seton Hall men's soccer team defeat Manhattan, 1-0, freshman Til Kauschke (Hamburg, Germany) has been named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. This is the second straight week that the Pirates have earned one of the conference's top weekly honors.

In addition, sophomore Jon Vigunr Pétursson (Selfoss, Iceland) was recognized on the BIG EAST's weekly honor roll for his part in helping the Pirates beat UAlbany and complete a shutout against Manhattan.

Kauschke has been aggressive in his shot taking so far this season, and it paid dividends this past Sunday when he one-timed a pass from Jared Smith (Longfellow, Mass.) in the box, blasting it past the Jaspers goalkeeper in the 68th minute. It was his first career goal.

Pétursson was solid as a defensive midfielder centerback in both the Manhattan game and the 2-1 win over UAlbany. After Sam Bjork was tripped in the box with 48 seconds remaining in the second half of a 1-1 match with the Great Danes, it was Pétursson's name that was called to take the penalty kick, and he converted to give the Pirates the 2-1 win.

Kauschke, Pétursson and the Pirates have started 3-0-0 for the second straight season and look to start 4-0-0 for the first time since 2008 when they host Columbia Friday at Owen T. Carroll Field at 6:56 p.m. The game is free for all to attend.

Oh watching the Republican D-bag videos and stealing his tag line?

Hmm, suspending the constitution or trying to stop disinformation. What about Trump wanting to jail members of the press? Can you ever just criticize and say Trump is wrong. You just walk lock step with everything or mostly everything he does.
I’ve been critical of Trump often and I never voted for him. Trump is wrong a lot, but be honest because all of the nonsense talking points are just that.

Weird Walz has nothing to say

Endless talk from the MSNBC crew on this board about Trump’s alleged paperwork crimes yet nothing about Tim Walz driving 95mph in a 55mph zone with a .128 BAC and then lying about it for decades. Can’t say I’m surprised though.

Not for anything but DWI is not a crime. Quasi-criminal at best. Trump has committed felony crimes. Your excuse of paper work crime would excuse every white collar crime that has ever occurred including Madoff. Hey. It’s only a paper crime.

Another community that has rallied around one of their youth volunteers. Kudos to Jerry Recco (and yes, I know he does Rutgers play-by-play) for using his celebrity to help out this family. ALS is a devastating disease, coupled with the costs for treatment that this family is going to have to endure as well. God bless Scott Goldsberry and his family on their long journey.

Keep up the great work, Jerry! I am sure Dan will continue to post these links as you write them!

Trump also signed an executive order going after social media companies after he got fact checked by Twitter. Neither side is winning a free speech award here, and he was clearly vindictive.
