Time to cut Dylan Addae-Wusu some slack.

Always plays hard will always give you points , rebounding , assists and steals in every game . The problem is he is not a point guard.
#NeverForget when DAW when 0/13 from the field with 0 points while being a main ball handler with Kadary out last season against Providence at home.

A 4 point loss that was the differential of dancing vs NIT

Our Point Guard situation…..

I seee way more in dual so far. Scotty not showing us his game yet i think/hope. Want to see zay and toumi be the major part of the last 3 minutes. Fts. Can we make them?
Toumi in last 3 minutes Seton75 ? I usually agree with Your posts but to want a crap F/T shooter, a terrible passer ( who hates passing) and a not very good dribbler -- just can not agree

Time to cut Dylan Addae-Wusu some slack.

I posted my usual top 20 points on the Trove after the game. But there is one point I want to post on the free board.

1. The Carrington Experiment

We are all guilty and that includes me. I stated in the preseason after watching a practice and a second partial workout that Dylan Addae-Wusu had to start. He was playing that well. But as we have seen in the 4 games to date DAW is not a PG. Sha knows that. The fans know that and so does the media. But knowing that DAW should be starting, where do you play him?

Dylan is a swing but Jenkins and Coleman man those positions. And with Harmon and Dual adding little that leaves DAW at the point. An issue former SHU coach Kevin Willard faced (unsuccessfully) with Khadeen Carrington years ago. Playing the point, running the team, controlling tempo is something that takes years of experience. It does not happen overnight. We have not been fair to Dylan, and with the said he's under a ton of pressure. Most not of his doing.

Time to ease up.
Agree. He's never been a PG and he isn’t anywhere close to being solely to blame for the offensive issues thus far.

KR NY Post Headline

KR left for money pure and simple, he had a home that appreciated him. The disconnect with SJU is Petino's style and KR's style. KR is a patient and deliberate point guard, a quality that was well suited for Sha's defense first mentality. Pitino loaded up on talent and he wants to play an up tempo game, this will be an issue as the season progresses.

I'm predicting huge chemistry issues for SJU, a prediction that I've made each of the last 5 seasons. You can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

KR will be richer at SJU, but he would have been happier at SHU.
I understand why you think this and the wishful thinking behind it. But they didn’t have any chemistry issues last year and certainly there doesn’t appear to be any this year. Richmond’s line today was very similar to what we saw here for years.

I’m not going to put myself in the mind of someone I don’t know personally, but I would be pretty happy making lots of $ playing a game I love today at MSG in front of a huge crowd in a NCAA caliber environment.

But that’s just me.

Nope. Disagree.

“Dylan is a swing but Jenkins and Coleman man those positions.”

What you meant to say is Jenkins and Coleman are better players and DAW should be on the bench.

As I’ve said before, DAW has no position on offense. He can’t shoot consistently, can’t pass, can’t create for himself. He can only barrel to the hoop praying for a foul or contested layup or shoot wide open 3’s. (Same as most players today)

He’s been in college for 5 years, playing basketball for over 15 years. I’m not cutting him any slack. Watching our so called highly ranked and/or veteran players struggle mightily against weak competition is/was pathetic.

Yes let us remove fluoride from water as I suck down a coke, and some fast food...look how jolly jr looks with the mickey Ds
I know those 3 questions for you might difficult so I'll go more fundamental and basic for you TwitterGuy. Let's make the assumption that Coke and Mickey D's are not healthy for you. I think we can agree on that. Why haven't the qualified professionals here in America done something? They've done things in plenty of other countries where they don't allow Mickey D's to use the same ingredients and they force coke not to use high fructose corn syrup. Why have all of our qualified professionals not solved this and a guy, who you would probably call a kook like me, in RFK Jr. willing to call attention to it?

Richmond had a very strange game today.

Played almost the entire game

7-14 from the field for 14 points

0-1 from the arc

0-1 from the stripe

8 rebounds

5 assists

4 steals

7 turnovers
He didn't look nearly as ball dominant as he did for us. Obviously they have other players to help carry the load.

I thought KR had a nice game but a couple of those turnovers were bad plays.
