That was the 1989/90 team. That team went 12-16. Sounds about right for this year. yeah they said over and over.

Just curious what the proper reaction of a team who plays a scrimmage and then 2 regular season buy games and doesn’t hit 60 points one time? It’s one thing when you’ve seen dumb play but also flashes of great play where you say let’s all take a deep breath and there’s a lot of good signs too. Pretty sure that’s not us right now.

It’s absolutely crazy to me that such highly thought of 2nd,3rd and 4th year players could look like they never played organized basketball before. I don’t want to hear about new environment or whatever else. It’s basketball, not rocket science. Something they’ve supposedly been playing for 15+ years.

To Gary's point above, I don't think there is anything to figure out. This is who they are. Nothing that has happened so far this season is a surprise. They are playing to expectations to a perfect T.

When we went through our preseason predictions, I said that this team could go 7-4 ooc and 7-13 in BigEast with the caveat that this team on paper is worse than that, but Sha will find a way to squeak out 14 wins. In hindsight, it may be too difficult for Sha to work his magic here. This team may just play to expectations.

I don’t disagree with you. But it’s early and they are young, and my personal fandom is too never get too high or low on unproven commodities. Message boards are obviously different in many respects when it comes to that. It’s why I chuckled a bit at the “seton hall’s newest star” thread we had building off the Zags article about Jenkins. Looks like a solid player for sure, but let’s pump the brakes on the “star” stuff until it’s mid to late February and the kid has killed it for a few months.

Yet when Jahari returns he will be a key piece off the bench on a team who is actually kicking the ass of teams they should.

So maybe there’s a reason these guys were available, no matter where they were ranked or who they played for??? And at a price we could afford. And it used to be you took one transfer in a pinch once in a while for a number of reasons, most of them not being good.. Coach has the coaching job of his life in front of him.

I’m all for giving them time. It’s very early obviously. But make no mistake, they have absolutely stunk so far. I expected something like this from Dual but not from Middleton.

He's been hurt most of the pre-season - not sure what the injury is. Looks like he injured if re-injured his ankle in the game. Came back in though late in the game.
