I wonder how xu advertising in ohio compares with osu? Just curious.
I believe those statistics lump suicide, homicide, accidental together. The link I shared earlier points to homicide rates higher in California, New York and Texas.I think mental health is an issue for sure in this country. But who is burying their head in the sand when you say laws won’t work. Look at the number of firearm deaths per capita in this country. And you will see a trend. The states with the most restrictive gun laws have the least. The states where all these honest and law abiding gun owners live that have the least restrictive gun laws are all at the highest.
You think that’s a coincidence?

Suicide by firearm represents the latest segment of deaths each year, and the 20-34 age group by far the largest. The per/100k rate of population has risen each year since before the pandemic. Add to this in that most mass shooters end up committing suicide after they go on a rampage. Since 2000 the suicide rate has jumped 37%, and the curve got really steep in 2008 and continued.
Laws are not going to solve that problem, outside of holding parents legally accountable.

so you’re saying a hot dog sitting on a table has never killed anyone? Is that correct?Ultra processed food doesn't kill people. People eating ultra processed food kills people.
Ultra processed food doesn't kill people. People eating ultra processed food kills people.Considering processed food are linked to cancer, that’s a lot more people than gun violence.
I was in a Starbucks near the Meadowlands the other night and noticed the server had a Seton Hall t-shirt underneath her apron. She is a junior and we had a nice, brief chat about the school. Was at my neighborhood grocery store a couple of days ago and waiting on line I see.... ShopRite - the official supermarket of Rutgers Athletics! As if constantly paying more for less week after week wasn't depressing enough.
Considering processed food are linked to cancer, that’s a lot more people than gun violence. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by ultra processed foods
He’s more of a politician than a sports guy anyway… and this stuff happens quite regularly in politicsSomeone posted earlier that in two months all will be forgotten. Sure: in Utah maybe; but in NJ, or the BIG Ten?
The guy's career and reputation are completely shot: period. Too bad.

Better parenting, better mental health screening, and an overall change of culture will.
It is hard to believe because it's most likely not true. A lot of coaches get a bunch of BS about them on message boards. For example Willard blasted here many times, but a couple people who got to know him through kids baseball or various other activities than him at work contradict a lot of the negatives we read on here. I know a lot of people who are big RU alums and they love the guy as a person saying he's a charitable man, and man very into family, religion and faith. They think as highly of him as man as Seton Hall thinks of Sha.Wow that much ego and bravado hard to believe
