Keeping in mind Trump could have recalled the ambassador at any time for whatever reason he wanted. “She’s going to go through some things” is a fairly chilling line from the mafia boss in chief now that we know there was a US citizen somehow with surveillance on the US ambassador in Ukraine and offering up that his contacts can "take care" of her for a price.

crazy...

“Mafia boss”....lol

You really need to step away from CNN for a few days.

Yup. When it walks and talks like a duck...

No concern that a Trump sycophant is texting with Giuliani's associate about surveilling the US ambassador to Ukraine, and was offering to have her "taken care of"?

Not really....not naive to think there is a lot of surveillance going on in any administration, and the nature of the people doing the work. But go ahead and craft another conspiracy. It’s obvious why texts were thrown out now.

Robert Hyde is not a member of the administration
Lev Parnas is not a member of the administration
Rudy Guilliani is not a member of the administration

I'm not crafting any conspiracy theory. The texts do that fine on their own.

They are out now because a judge allowed them to be released to the house a little over a week ago. So yes, it is obvious why they are out now.

All administrations also use third parties. What else did Jeffrey Toobin say??

You're guess is as good as mine. I don't watch cable news.

Glad we have established that government surveillance by private citizens offering to "take care of" US ambassadors serving overseas is not a crossed line for you. Cool.

This is not something that happens all the time. You would not have been as forgiving if this happened under Obama. Not sure why you are so willing to give it a pass when it's Trump.

I’m not giving Trump a pass. But I’m also not going straight to a conspiracy theory after reading a few texts either. My comments were about the silly “mob boss” description which was one of the labels CNN has been trying.

Your post history on the texts between Stzrok and Page begs to differ. You are willing to go straight to a conspiracy theory after reading a few texts when it is something you want to believe.

Seems you watch cnn more than I do, but my opinion on Trump acting like a mob boss is developed based on the way he talks and acts. Not the news.

If you knew anything about organized crime and mob bosses you would know Trump is probably the furthest thing from one.

I think my posting history speaks for itself. You are the king of conspiracy theories...how’d that nefarious meeting in Trump Tower turn out?:)

As far as my "conspiracy theory"?

Not everyone who gets caught soliciting a prostitute will be arrested, so I am not suggesting Trump Jr will be in jail... I am saying what he did was illegal.

Mueller confirmed that the conduct was illegal.

"There are reasonable arguments that the offered information would constitute a “thing of value” within the meaning of these provisions, but the Office determined that the government would not be likely to obtain and sustain a conviction for two other reasons: first, the Office did not obtain admissible evidence likely to meet the government’s burden to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that these individuals acted “willfully,” i.e. with general knowledge of the illegality of their conduct; and, second, the government would likely encounter difficulty proving beyond a reasonable doubt that the value of the promised information exceeded the threshold for a criminal violation."

I think it is pretty clear that I was correct there. What Trump Jr was doing was not legal, but the case would be difficult to prosecute.
