1 big change

This is a big change I see compared to other years with a Willard coached team. How this team starts the game and how they come out for the second half, more so the second half. How many times in the last few years do we see SHU up by a couple , tied , or down by a few and they come out and get punched in the mouth and we can never come back? This year I almost expect SHU to come out in the second and pull away or take over the game. This has been huge. Also you don't have those brain farts in the last minute or so in the first half where we lose leads because we kind of let up. In these 2 aspects we have really matured.

Yes,exactly. I used to joke that it took us ten minutes to forget what we were told. But now we come out focused and get after it right away. And lots of points have been scored off of plays after a TO. The change is remarkable.

seems to me that we have the ability to wear them down defensively. i have no numbers, but off the top of my head seems like teams struggle against us in the 2nd. Nova at the end of the game was just as bad as we were.

I can still remember Fu's last two seasons how some of the upperclass players deductions late in the game, lost several games for us. That's a distant memory with these players.
