Anybody have any insight on how early before doors you need to get there in order to get them? Debating whether to try this or go the StubHub route for Xavier.

Depends on the date and time of the game.
For the game this Saturday, I would think they get snapped up very early from whatever time they announce that the window is opening.
They are actually $11, BTW. They were originally introduced as a condition when the place opened to make affordable tickets available. They added a $1 tax as part of an extra tax that the city charges on all tickets for the the Arena (using security costs as the reason) a few years later.

I've purchased them for games where there wasn't much demand - I would usually show up when the box office opens up and I'd be the only one there. I've never done it for a sold out game. I'd imagine you'd have to get there at least 30 minutes before they start selling them. I'm sure scalpers will be all over them.
I just remembered this post I saw on Twitter last year for the Rutgers game.
