What I saw yesterday was 2 Good NCAA Tourney Teams playing against each other in an extremely well played game.
In fact, I walked away from yesterdays game thinking for the first time that we are a very solid Tourney team. (The hard part to take is that yesterdays game would have gotten us in at 18 games)
Marquette is definitely a year-long top 20 team and a 4-seed and we HAD them and stuck with them on the road.
At the beginning of this year I would have been happy with an NIT bid. This team has far exceeded my expectations all year and especially yesterday. The defense, team-work, Q and Myles Powell have been insane.
If anything yesterday was a confidence booster for me and should be for the team.
We can beat anyone.....anywhere...... and the Big East and all the Tourney teams should be very, very concerned when we are there next game.
