I remember this, watched it live as it happened. This was around the time cable news began chasing profits instead of news and dragging down our societal discussions.

Sounds like Jon Stewart was correct in his criticism of "opinion news."

Problem is now just about everything is opinion or activist news. Seems like social media killed off the old format where the news outlets just provided facts and you were left to form your own opinions. Real journalism is nearly dead.

Sounds like Jon Stewart was correct in his criticism of "opinion news."

Stewart would never now say what he said and certainly not to Maddow or Don Limon -Probably because they just speak truth hahaha
