Hey this season marks the the brutal 10th year since Grant and Donald took us to the dance. Maybe his return will be good karma. Of course I thought Andre and team would win the NIT in 2003 to mark our 50th anniversary.

This has been our worst stretch of the Big East Era. Sigh.

Actually, the last few years look like Sweet 16s compared to the first five or so years.

WOW 10 years! Never thought I would see 10 years go by without an NCAA tournament. I have had this delusional thought that Seton Hall should never be worse than going twice to the NCAA tournament in a 5 year stretch.

Gonzo's last year had so much promise. There was a lot of talent on the team with Hazell, Harvey, Pope, JRob and Theodore. People forget that Theodore actually played better than Harvey that year. The bench let that team down. Stix, Keon Lawrence, John Garcia, Jamel Jackson and of course the Big Mel Oliver contributed little to nothing. That team was so close. It had 4 Overtime losses which were just crushing. The last overtime loss to Marquette at home was when you just felt all the air leave the season which led to the dramatic downfall.

I remember having so much fun that year in a very tough Big East. I can't believe that was really the last year that Seton Hall had a real chance going to the Tournament in late February.

Grant took us to the dance, LOL? He was a role player.
Steve, make you feel good? Ok he was a role player. He did have that big road game at NC State. And the kid had great heart And was a captain.

Mike Glover not being elgible (and I think that was Bobby's 1st recruit here) was really damaging. He turned out to be a great player at Iona.

And he knocked down two huge foul shots late in the 2nd half at Providence late in the 2006 season. He is exactly the 6'10" banger this team needs.

A player, especially an upperclassman, can impact a program from an attitude and work ethic standpoint even though they make minimal impact on the stat sheet.

Lack of leadership was the downfall of last year's team.
