SHU Men's and Women's programs are both 20-7 with 10 conference wins. In 3rd and 2nd place respectively.

When was the last time SHU has had such success with both programs at the same time? Wow.

Let's finish the season off strong!

Probably 1994, would have been PJs last year, the men were a bubble team and got in as a #10 seed, and lost in the first round to Michigan State.

The women were a #4 seed, beat Vermont and Texas, went to the sweet 16 before losing to Penn State.

I was going to say 1994, too. Long time ago! That NCAA bid felt a little like a reward for having performed so well in the tournament over the previous five years. Had we just come out of the blue that season, I doubt we'd have gotten the nod. We earned it on history (which I think is fair, by the way).

That bid was definitely on reputation. I believe at one point in that game CBS decided to cut to a "more competitive" game in the second half. That Michigan State team was lead by "fire and ice" (Snow and Respert).

Yes, was definitely on rep that bid. The men were only 17-13, 8-10 in BE (7th place) that year, by the way the women were 25-4 that year.

CBS also cut away from our game versus Arizona in 2004 when we went down a dozen or 15, whatever it was. I was there, and was texting my buddy when we started coming back, and he was like, "what are you talking about? They switched to (whatever game was more competitive)."
