Strengths:
He's a pure scoring with a powerful body in the backcourt. He attacks the rim in straight lines, absorbs contact without problem, and gets himself to the free-throw line in high volume. He's absolutely lethal in the open court and also an excellent finisher who combines power, athleticism, balance, and body control around the rim. His pull-up jumper has become a weapon as he's also become more consistent from behind the three-point line and begun to utilize his tools more consistently when using a ball-screen. He's a very good passer when he wants to be and also an outstanding rebounding guard.
Weaknesses:
Efficiency has been his greatest challenge as he's developed a reputation for being lackadaisical at times, settling for tough shots, and not playing up to his potential. While signs of maturity are starting to become more frequent, he still needs to prove the consistency of his work-ethic, commitment to the defensive end of the floor, and ability to blent his tools into a true team concept.
Bottom Line:
There might not be a more naturally talented power scoring guard in the national class of 2014 and just how good he ends up being will be a direct indication of his willingness to put in the time, effort, and total commitment it takes to be great.
