Why? Think he would say something not "coach speak" or something that would be breaking news. Obviously, it would be a bit premature to throw the team under the bus just yet or announce his resignation.Anybody listen?
I just listened to my first podcast. No provacative questions. No mis-speaks or crazy phrasing. Says IW has to play like he did early in the tear, Nzei can run the court, Braeden has a tough gig with law school and can stick a 15 footer, Desi at wing and the play of veer eases the backcourt shortage. Nothing new, nothing frustrating.Didn't listen, but saw some transcribed quotes. Basically he knew we'd be too young to make the Dance last year, but this year they should be experienced enough to hopefully make it and "do damage" once there.
LOL
Not a loser's mentality. Just a loser!I have not heard the podcast or read any transcripts and I am going by mjs' post above.
If Willard said and/or thought that the team was not an NCAA team because we were young, especially after the strong start last year, it shows me he has a loser's mentality and should not be a head coach.....I would never say/tell/think that way because it means you gave up on the season before it even started. This will rub off on the team and the kids would not make the playoffs because it would make them not reach team goals and care about the season or each other. In my opinion, this is when individual goals would be pushed to the forefront ahead of team goals.
Sounds familiar?
True. If he was getting results nobody would care what he is saying. We are parsing words that make him sound like a loser but unfortunately that's what he's been.I am no fan, but I think the c riticism is a little overboard. No coach says anything. PJ never said a thing. Why expect any from the heart insight from willard.
