I spoke for about a half hour with Mike McBride yesterday. He explained much of his future plans to me and in a word it's exciting. Much thinking outside the box as well as doing the staples. He's a big man on communications and you will soon see the result of that if what he is doing initially comes to bear. And I have no reason to believe it won't.
At the end of our conversation Mike told me he wants to reach out directly to our subscribers here. His idea is to speak to you quarterly beginning in 3 weeks.
Thus in about 2 weeks I will start a thread that Mike will see and be able to respond to directly. He will answer your (legitimate) questions to the best of his ability but will not engage in long debate as his time is precious. That is untold access that readers on a site such as this do not get. He wanted to reward the fans here as well as court them. He knows that many of the most serious supporters of Pirate basketball are here and he welcomes your thoughts. Even negative ones as that will allow him to explain why he is doing what he is doing, or adopt what he reads.
