I know there hasn't been a ton of interest in the men's basketball here, besides (and deservedly so), Pat Auda, I watched the second half of USA-France last night and early this morning because it actually was aired live on NBC instead of Peacock, which I don't get. Now, granted, I stopped watching the NBA a long time ago, but I will say this, I give the U.S. team credit. Believe it or not, they actually learned from the earlier loss to France and played some team ball. Imagine that.
Yes, there were some jacked-up 3s and some iso (although isoing Kevin Durant isn't a terrible strategy, to be fair), but there was some crisp passing and ball movement. I was kind of shocked, to be quite honest. It won't make me start watching the NBA at all (although I might catch a Milwaukee game or two if the Bucks give a certain guy a chance, which they should), but it was good to see.
I'm curious if anyone else checked it out, or if everyone has checked out.
