An Angry Republican Explains Why Trump Can't Win

Interesting read and certainly brings up the real issues with Trump and the sycophants that follow him no matter what. I am not sure that Trump can't win. He certainly can eek out a win although everything would have to turn out perfect for him.
This election, IMO, is even more unpredictable than 2016 was. There is more of an anger factor That plays into this election. In 2016 Trump had his passion and supporters and Hillary had hers although it was much smaller. I think there was also a feeling that she was going to win based on the polls in the way the MSM was banking on it. She was not an inspiring candidate and that probably played into less turnout for her.
I have not met one person who is a Biden supporter that is inspired by him at all. There also is a general recognition as well about his capacity to serve out his term. The support for Biden is almost unanimously about the hate for Trump. He is really just a placeholder. And there seems to be more support that will affect turn out.

We disagree on lots however its fairly certain PA FL WI and OH wins the election, the wininer will take 3 of those 4 imho
I don’t think anyone disagrees that the swing states will determine the winner, however they could potentially swing a lot either way.
Sycophants is an interesting choice of a noun. I still don’t think people realize that it’s not so much Trump is great it’s that the loud left are socialists and anti capitalists. The silent majority IMO is going to come out strong both in November for a Biden win and a 2024 Haley win. That’s my current prediction.
I spent a lot of time at the Jersey shore and these people think that Trump should be on Mt Rushmore. Their homes and boats are adorned with Trump flags. This is a cult of personality. Trump is indeed a reflection of many of these people with the manner in which he speaks. He sounds like someone at the bar next to spouting off political opinions. Trump mirrors their simplistic thoughts on issues. That is why he has this cult following because any criticism of Trump is a criticism of them. It is very personal to the vast amount of Trump supporters.

That’s really a silly view. Are you saying that people that vote for other candidates are smarter and have a grasp of the complex nature of these issues? I was on LBI a couple weeks ago and also noticed a number of homes with Trump signs or flags. My guess is these are pretty wealthy and college educated folks who have done quite well.
So they are simplistic because they are Trump supporters? I love liberals talk about equality, giving everyone a voice, unless you are a Trump supporter.
By the way, lots of nice homes and boats on Barnegat Bay have Trump flags.
This is an uneducated take on Trump that simply regurgitates what the media tells you . Have you bothered to ask anyone why they voted the way they did? I voted for Trump because he was willing to crack down on H1-B visas. At the time my company was replacing our IT department with low paid workers coming in from India. Hillary was for Globalization and was not going to stop it. My wife works for a Catholic pre-school. All the women there voted for Trump because of his position against abortion. The day after Trump won, I watched a news anchor interview a pollster on who the people were who voted for Trump. He replied basically that the voters were not college educated, misogynists and racist. The anchor never challenged him and just nodded. I laughed at the time but now its scary because that opinion somehow propagated as facts about Trump voters. There are lots of situations of people being attacked for simply wearing a Trump hat, like the Covington Catholic kids. Nobody engages the wearer about it , they just spit on the person wearing it or worse.
As far as being simplistic, that approach has done wonders in the most complicated Geo Political area of the world. Every President since Clinton has resisted moving the US embassy to Jerusalem and they have also resisted attacking Iranian general Sulemani out of fear. Every so called expert said it would light a powder keg in the middle east. Trump proved them all wrong and got Arab countries to sign peace deals with Israel.
I know Trump is a narcissist and a liar but he has done a lot more good than bad. I will vote for him over Dementia Joe any day.
there is definitely a distinct trait about some trump supporters and obnoxious is the first word that comes to mind.
im curious if you think trump doesnt outsource his work to india or underpay foreign workers at his domestic and international resorts?
IT departments are more so outsourcing to people who are still in india. its a massive problem

With regard to your post, there is a percentage of Trump supporters that fit your description. Nonetheless, what you wrote could also be applied to Bernie, Hillary, Obama, and other democrat's. My life's experience is that Democrats tend to be more passionate and prone to idolization.
As Chris Mathews once referred to Obama, "I get the same thrill up my leg, all over me, every time".
I have never heard anyone talk about getting thrills in their legs when referring to Trump.

Likely Deplorables “keep it simple stupid”. I know what you mean like build a wall to stop the insanity at our border. So simple it took 40 years of very smart people not being able to do anything. The other funny one is financing Iran so they could finance terror in the USA. Stupid thing but we haven’t had a terrorists attack at a nightclub or anywhere. Where’s Isis these days they were interesting characters to follow on the news. North Korea has been extremely quiet, we never hear from them any more. We definitely need a smarter president so they can come back to life. We can always start a war if we have a problem and blame it on Trump. A lot of those real smart guys were not able to fix the VA or maybe they just didn’t care. I could go on but the guy is a jackass who gets things done. Hmm what about that building of the wall and don’t forget have Mexico pay for it? What did happen with that? Well, very little new wall was built and of course we know Mexico didn’t pay a dime for it. Walls that existed were replaced but only like a couple of miles of new wall was ever constructed. Fail.
I don’t know where we financed Iranians. But it shall be seen what good breaking the Iranian treaty will do. Unknown.
VA started to get better under Obama. Obama had the Veterans Choice Act passed. Trump expanded eligibility. Like a lot of things , he takes credit for it all when that’s not true.

I checked US Border and security website 341 miles of new wall has been completed, not sure where you are getting your information. Maybe US Border website is fake. Unfortunately you cannot trust any of your sources today. I often wonder how much money we gained from Mexico with the new trade agreement.
We are already seeing effects of breaking the treaty with Iran, no terrorists attacks. I might be reading to many Vince Flynn novels but they were financing terror. Nothing like a paying to kill your own people. Sounds like a brilliant idea, keeps the news cycle going. I know we owed Iran money but made no sense giving it to them. I’m unaware of North Korea other than its very quiet and we didn’t give them any money. As soon as Trump leaves all that will change, now that’s a bet I would love to make.
Because I view this election as a war of worsts and right now liberal pols and supporters are IMO worse than Trump and trump supporters for a variety of policy reasons.
