Seems to be the first year in long time where we have no blowout losses (knock on wood). Of the seven losses, there was only one double-digit loss (somehow 15 pt loss to Creighton at home). Every other loss margin is respectable:

- Loss to LBS by 3
- Losses to Nova by 9 and 1
- Losses to GW and Xavier by 8
- Loss to Butler by 6

Very rare (at least for us) to not get blown out at least once during a season. For example, every other Big East team has multiple double-digit losses. Most of the top ten teams do, too. Granted, Nova's two double-digit losses were to Oklahoma and Virginia. Still, the point is that this team is mentally focused every night to be in each game. Maybe it's the experience, maybe it's the coaching / game preparation. In any case, the team's resiliency and the road-wins stats should give the committee confidence that this team will show up and be a tough out no matter where you stick them in the bracket.

Keep it going guys! Less than 3 weeks to the promised land. Let's punch the ticket next Sunday at the Rock!

It's funny how similar it is to 2012. I forget what our RPI was that year before the 2 bad losses.

We had some unspectacular wins. UConn, Gtown, and WVU at home were our best wins. A few decent OOC wins but nothing to write home about.

Yes, very similar. We beat Georgetown on 2/21/12 (4 years to the day) to get the 19th win. Then overtime loss to Rutgers and the DePaul debacle. In BET, there was a win over Prov and loss to Louisville. Better days ahead. Xavier is THE game. We all need to get there.

Funny that we are on the bubble at this point, yet there is an outside (longshot) chance of finishing in 2nd in big east. We would need to win out (4-0) and Xavier would need to lose to Nova this week. Conf records would be identical but then tiebreaker would likely go to us (head to head vs next highest placed team). Of course it is crazy to even be thinking of a possible second place finish after yesterday's near catastrophic event, yet stranger things have happened.
