Got this report sent to me by a scout I know on Anthony Nelson. Everything below here is the scout's words
- Looks to have grown another inch. Probably around 6'5" now
- Very smooth and crafty lefty who uses his size well. Can finish through contact at the rim and a good and consistent FT shooter
- Improving jump shooter but still the weakness inf his game. SHU staff has shown the ability to develop a jump shot and his form is decent. Should make big strides with consistent work
- Has a bit of a post game when he gets smaller guards on him. If he is running the point at SHU, he will cause problems for teams that have little guards
- Very good court vision and willing passer. Good handles as well
- Has to improve his understanding of when to look to score versus when to distribute the rock
- Has the tools to be a true point guard that can be a major problem because of his size. Needs to improve a bit on some of the mental aspects of playing PG
- Tremendous on-ball and off-ball defender. Big, strong and fast. Will be an elite defender at the Big East level from day one
- Will probably play pretty big minutes as a freshman next year and should acquit himself well
- Will be an All Big East player at some point in his career
- Has NBA ability if he improves his jump shot and refines his ball handling and passing skills. The tools are there
- Probably underrated where he is ranked right now. See him as a top 75-100 guy with tremendous upside
