Lot of discussion about attendance leading up to the game and announced attendance of 7600 was far more then most predicted. Remember this game got no ink from the Ledger and some students from out of state may have already left for home. Nothing to complain about with that number .

Crowd was as loud as any at the Rock, with sustained periods of standing and intense cheering. Was an awesome atmosphere!

The atmosphere was terrific yesterday. I am in the third row across from the Seton Hall bench and we were standing for the last 12 minutes of the second half. The students were great but even the old folks were into it too. I think the crowd had a lot to do with the outcome of the game. Without the crowd, the team would not have won. The team really fed off the energy of the crowd.

As I said in another post, we don't need an on campus arena. If the team is good, people will show up and that place can get loud and become a real, home court advantage.

Glad you noticed, it was raucous down there... I'm sure jcalz enjoyed Elf but my brother-in-law appreciated it. I couldn't really talk on the way home.

Yesterday was very good for SHU. If they can sustain a respectable record you may see
big crowds vs teams like Xavier, Butler and Nova. Winning is good for business.

It always has been especially for teams who haven't been successful for a long stretch. Just look at the Mets for example this year .

You guys got up and got loud and the other sections followed. Very good atmosphere, and it looked and sounded good on tv. When I replayed the game I feared I was blacked out like others were and I feared I was gonna cut off the end of the game, but all was well.

I think SHU fans really appreciate defense and we got loads of it yesterday.
