Wow Taliek Brown, Andre Barrett and OmarCook. Three top 25 PG from NYC class or 20, 21 years later!
Everyone thought we had Brown locked up. A couple of us went to a HS tournament at the end of the season and sat next to Tom Konchalski. I asked him what he thought about Brown and he said why are you asking about him? You're getting Barrett (higher rated).
I saw something on Twitter, maybe from Braziller recently, with a link to an article on Cook that said he’s still playing overseas. Prior criticized him for leaving early, but he’s made a ton of money I bet playing professional basketball even if the NBA did not work out.
I remember seeing Omar as a soph against Pats and Al H….he looked great….stands out in my memory having been surprised how young he was at the time
