Was on the ND team that broke up UCLA's 88 game streak. Carr works for the Cavs. The game is in Cleveland. I imagine Austin is in the house. Nice story if so and if ND can pull off the upset.

Carr was already gone from ND. The team that broke the streak had Shumate, Crotty, Novak, Brokaw, and Clay as its starters. I remember it well because it was also the day I saw my first live Seton Hall game.

I think Carr was on a team that stopped an earlier Ucla streak. He scored close to 40 one Saturday afternoon as he beat my Bruins. I remember where I watched the game.

Carr was on the Irish team with Collis Jones. They left ND in '71. What a scoring duo they were. Carr was incredible, He was just the second player in NCAA history to score 1,000 points in a season, joining Pete Maravich. He also scored 61 points in the NCAA tournament against Ohio U. He was a good NBA player but has trouble staying healthy.

Right. Thanks for posting, Jim. Carr's team broke a 49 game non conference streak for UCLA. Had to look it up. Gary Brokaw and John Shumate, Digger's Jersey Boys, must have been on that team that broke the 88 games. The ND-UCLA matchup was THE game for a good decade because of those upsets. Still close Tonight.
