Besides winning Saturday, can anyone figure out who to root for Saturday to avoid the Wednesday game? The other matchups are :
Marquette vs Georgetown - obviously root for Marquette to drop Georgetown to 8-10
St. John’s vs Xavier - we split with both. Winner is 9-9, loser will be 8-10. Who do we root for?
Butler vs Providence - root for Providence so both teams go to 7-11. A butler win moves them up to 8-10. We split with them so not sure how this works.
DePaul vs Creighton - root for Creighton I think. They’d go to 9-9 but it keeps DePaul at 7-11.
So say we lose and you get Marquette, St Johns, Providence and Creighton winning. You’d have:
SHU - 8-10
Xavier - 8-10
DePaul/Providence/Butler - 7-11
Who would be the 6 and who would be the 7? What if it’s St. John’s and seton hall at 8-10? How do multi team tiebreaks work?
Would love any insight here so I know who to root for if SHU does lose at noon
