i swam under water with a mask on now, mask in bed covered with another maskWhat's next? Showering with your mask on?
What's next? Showering with your mask on?
If we tell people to shower with them so they can scream about that being the overreach, will they then find it more reasonable to wear them out in public?
If so, then Yes! Please start wearing masks in the shower.
Nj has been very good about masks since the beginning. I think the problem is elsewhere. There's this narrative about people not wearing masks in public en masse that I have yet to actually see in public.

NJ is #1 state in population density via latest numbers 13th most cases, 5th most deathsOk, so NJ has the highest death rate in the country but they have been very good about masks from the beginning.
NJ has seen a massive spike in cases & hospitalizations yet they have been very good about masks from the beginning.

Look at the states with the highest death rates....Yep.

You can pretty much point to where the outbreaks are worse by looking at what percentage of the population is wearing a mask in public.
Damn shame it was politicized so much.
Well NJ is top by population density so deaths by 1m prorated is gonna be high and NJ caught the original outbreak just like NY because of NYC and westchester countyLook at the states with the highest death rates....
A lot of excuses.....Well NJ is top by population density so deaths by 1m prorated is gonna be high and NJ caught the original outbreak just like NY because of NYC and westchester county
Would you say the same for texas and florida?A lot of excuses.....

Your last sentence is critical to understanding where we’re at-although you didn’t need the word intellectuallyIf you want to ignore the facts of how this all started and how the first states didn't have adequate time to prepare and react... sure. But we are 9 months into this now and how a much better understanding in how to prevent transmission. There were about 12 thousands deaths in NJ when people were arguing here if the virus was airborne or not.
Deaths per million in the last month for example - South Dakota is leading the country. NJ is 41st.
Last 2 months - North Dakota is first, South Dakota 2nd, NJ 43rd. Last 3 months - North Dakota is first, South Dakota 2nd, NJ 48th.
The data has been very clear. The answer has been to test a lot, when you start to see the positivity rate increase, that is a sign of community spread. When that hits a certain threshold, there should be public measures in place to slow it back down.
Ignoring that this started before we had any testing capacity in NJ and NY is frankly just intellectually dishonest.
Like masks, shame the Covid stats were/are used as a political weapon. 200 million deaths lolYep.

And the bad boy snowblowers crossover even will have live attendance at a reduced capacity, most of the original field not attending by either pause due to program positives or an opt outThe Dakotas as of a few days ago have the highest positivity rate per capita in the world.
My point is that we shouldn’t be lecturing other states when a lot of poor decisions early on led NJ to have the highest death rates. Masks wearing is obviously good common sense in settings where there is closer contact. If you want to ignore the facts of how this all started and how the first states didn't have adequate time to prepare and react... sure.
