1. If the carnage in the cities continues, Donald the Mad will get the independent and moderate white vote and win.

2.But right now, it looks like Joe the Gaffer will be our next President.

3.His VP choice is important to me as she could eventually be President.

4. After looking the field over, Tammy Duckworth, Senator from Illinois, is someone I could see running the country. A veteran ( LtC- Army), smart, empathetic, big picture person, patriotic, no racial axe to grind, solution finder. Tough cookie who is wheelchair bound - military injury. Hope she is the pick.

She would be the smartest pick, but I believe Biden will pander to the left and select a black woman because that's the way the wind is blowing right now. It'll be Harris, Rice or Demings.

I can’t remember in my lifetime voting for or against the president based on their VP pick.

Although, given Biden’s deteriorating mental state it would be probably something worth consideration.

Yep, I agree. It's an unusual year in that sense.
I don't think Biden will be on the 2024 ticket should he win 2020, so VP could be seen as more important than in most other years.

That was her excuse, but she pulled out because her record as DA for Minneapolis would have been a big distraction in this environment.

Being from Minnesota,a county attorney and no police misconduct prosecutions were not the best for her if she was looking for the VP spot following the George Floyd murder.
