Today there are several good O'OC matches.

Xavier and Cincinnati
Butler and Tennessee
Marquette and Wisconsin

Tomorrow, Syracuse and St. John

If BE teams can do well this weekend, it will be a big help toward getting 5 teams to the Big Dance.

Even Creighton helped the BE by beating a not bad Nebraska Big 10 team, easily.

It will be interesting to see Hurley coach Arizona State vs Kentucky, this weekend.

This weekend and next weekend are big for the conference.
Next weekend..
Nova @Virginia
SHU vs Wichita St.
Butler @Purdue
Depaul vs. Northwestern
Creighton @Oklahoma
X vs Auburn

It's very early but,
Nova, X, Butler, Providence, and Gtown have a great shot of getting in.

I think the door is open for Marquette or SHU to make it 6 bids for the conference. Each have one more game against a good non-conference team (Wisconsin and Wichita St.). Big games for both teams.

Is anyone watching Providence/Bryant? It's not a particularly compelling game or anything but every time Prov makes a big play this guy stands up and blocks the cameraman and a silhouette of his head is front and center screen. It's pretty funny.

Wisconsin isn't good. Pay attention to the current team's play this season and not just their history. They are all freshmen and have 4 losses already. They won't be in the tourney. Marquette, although super erratic, is the better team and must win if they hope to be a bubble team as they appear to be. Won't be a good win although it will be hard to lock this one up in Madison.

If X wins, they'll be a top 10 team. If Nova had decided to actually show up in Hawaii earlier this week, the conference could have two top ten teams next week. Oh well.

The top 5 Big East teams look to be the strongest together they've been since the realignment. There will be some great battles to watch amongst them the next 10 weeks, especially after the realty of how bad we are sets in.

I knew you could not resist

whatever, you can't tell me I'm wrong with a straight face. We beat a replenished & healthy Wichita State next weekend, then we can talk. All these people on here are stretching to find all these little things to gush about. All that matters is we blew the LBSU game that we ABSOLUTELY, 100% had to win, and then we could have cancelled that out by winning at GW, which was actually in our grasp, and we didn't. So as usual, KW's teams don't show up when they have to. Great...Nzei & Ish can rebound. Woo hoo! We're still not beating anyone of merit b/c KW is the coach and doesn't have the guys game ready and playing in a gameplan that will win enough games.

Marquette pulls it out in great game in Madison. Wisconsin isn't there yet this season, but still really tough to win that rivalry game at the Kohl Center. Wojo's team looks better every game. Ellenson & Fischer had great games down low. Angel's gonna have his work cut out for him.

Butler need to put Tennessee away. Would be an embarassing loss for an otherwise great team so far

Wisconsin and Nebraska are not good. UW just lost too much talent from last's year team. BTW, WSU is having no problem up by 14 against #25 Utah with 8 minutes left. If they beat UNLV, Utah and us going into MVC play I would say they have righted the ship.

Solo I have a question for you. Exactly what has happened to Ohio State? Thanks.

The BE teams beat the power conference foes they played. I am happy about that. If they beat Waltons Ucla team that would be better. But they won. And that is good

Hint: DePaul is "playing" now if you can call it that.Ugly. And so is the score. Oh, they're at home too.6 minutes to go and DePaul has 19 TOs to 6 assists, outscored 28-2 on turnovers and got zip from the bench compared to 19 off the bench for ArkLR.
