NEW YORK -
In its second year as the BIG EAST's branded channel on FOX Sports Go, the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) announced that its 2015-16 broadcast plan will expand to 225 live events for the upcoming season. Highlighted BEDN programming will include all regular season BIG EAST league women's basketball games, 36 Championship events and expanded coverage of the men's and women's soccer league games.

After a successful pilot year in 2014-15, BEDN will continue to supplement scheduled television coverage of all BIG EAST sports, while broadening exposure of additional athletic events. In addition to live streaming, content will include highlights, selected news coverage and shoulder programming. The BIG EAST will oversee all production on the Digital Network. The BIG EAST has also renewed its contract with Rush Media Company, which will serve as the conference's third-party production services supplier.

The complete breakdown of the 2015-16 BEDN Programming Plan includes 73 women's basketball, 35 men's soccer, 35 women's soccer, 15 volleyball, 10 baseball, 10 softball and six lacrosse games. As was the case with 2014-15, BEDN will cover all BIG EAST Championships, with 36 events in the upcoming year. Five additional programming slots have been reserved to add as sport specific schedules are announced.

When the BIG EAST launched the Digital Network in 2014-15, the league became the first collegiate conference to be hosted on FOX's mobile platform, FOX Sports Go, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go.

FOX Sports GO is currently available for iOS, Android, Kindle Fire tablets and Fire phones, select Windows devices, and on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com. Fans can download the mobile app for free from the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and Windows Store.

FOX Sports GO users who are also subscribers of participating video providers can live stream the BIG EAST men's and women's basketball telecasts, plus the Olympic sports championships, carried on FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, FOX Sports Regional Networks, and FOX broadcast network. The BIG EAST women's basketball events and the Olympic sports contests that are not televised by FOX Sports do not require a video subscription.

Select content will also be available on bigeast.com, including historical BIG EAST games on demand, highlight footage, and original programming to be unveiled at a later date. Specific dates and additional details of featured match-ups, including regular season games and championship contests, will be released as game schedules are finalized.

The broadcast schedule for 2015-16 will be announced when the conference schedules are finalized at a later date.
