Big East teams in action today...some good, some bad

Us beating WSU was great of course.

X destroyed Auburn at home. They look scary good. But yes, Auburn still stinks. Pearl needs another year it looks like,

Nova fought hard at UVA but came up short. They played well and the game went back & forth, but Virginia was too much. They have quite the home court advantage under Bennett. The fans were LOUD. Nova has nothing to be ashamed of here unlike the Oklahoma drubbing.

Catching up on the Creighton@Oklahoma game now on the DVR. It's not boding well for Creighton thus far haha, but that's too be expected.

Gtown is so, so puzzling. Losing to UNC Asheville is completely unacceptable. Maybe this is the real team and NOT the one who looked so good against Maryland & Duke? Thompson has alot of work to do.

Thompson has recruited but he's always been a pretty uninspiring coach the last few years. Don't care for the system. That team shouldn't be losing to UNC Ashville and Radford.

Living in the DC area, the GTown alums I know and work with are starting to get very restless. Would be very hard for GTown to pull the trigger on letting him go with the close JT ties but with the recruits he has been getting, folks really want more results to show for it.

Depaul loses st home in OT to a solid Northwestern in their annual rivalry game. I'd love to see NW FINALLY get a bid this year. The Big 10 is down this season...only MSU, MD & Purdue are scaring anybody. I could see Michigan & NW being the only other teams to get a bid out of that league.

Creighton fought hard on the road till the end and kept it close until the last 4 minutes. Buddy Hield was playing out of his mind as usual and scored like 7 points in one minute to put the game out of reach. Creighton can still drain three's big time and it kept them in the game. If they're hot the day we play them, watch out. Still a worse team than us though,just barely.

Butler 31-27 at the half over Prudue. Purdue is good and OSU just beat Kentucky. That is a very good win ofr the B1G.

Purdue is very athletic and big. But Butler plays like junkyard dogs and are just as tough. They look ugly doing it but somehow end up competing and winning. They never stop. Good game so far and very physical.
