Biggest game since moving to the Rock

This may be the biggest game I've witnessed since the '93 game VS UNC. I was just a kid then but remember being at that game. This game feels the same, just as huge. I've said it before this is a going to be a classic game tomorrow and will be the buzz of CBB.

I say that this game is the biggest since then because we have had top teams come in and beat them, but this year I feel like we have a top 5 team come in and we are close to them. Wouldn't be just a fluke home win where the road team just doesn't have it. We can beat Xavier and we don't just need the stars to align just right. When we win the game tomorrow, and I guarantee we win, SHU will make it known that with the lack of the clear cut favorites that the Pirates will be a contender to go deep in the tournament.

I remember that game very well. There was a buzz all game long in that arena. I can't wait for that atmsophere tomorrow at the Rock. The place is going to be jumping. Almost 24 hours to tip off.

LETS GO PIRATES!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a great game. Was fortunate enough to sit right behind Shu bench. One of the few sell outs at the continental. Ahhh the memories. Tomorrow should be another great memory game.

I'd say this might be biggest home game since 2004 vs Pitt and that year we also had an enormous one vs Cuse.

We also had some big ones in Gonzo's last year but those were earlier in the season.

Im not sure if tomorrow clinches anything. Creightoncan still technically tie us for 3rd. I still say regardless we MUST win at DePaul for the NCAAs. However I just hope when the kids come out for warm ups and are warming up in front of more people than we had at some games they take a moment to realize what they have done. They filled this place. This is what sacrificing some of their own individual skills to make the team better has done. Soak that moment in for 5-10 minutes of warmups then get back to business.

Like the confidence. I like the setup for us. Xavier just had their biggest game and win of the season and it's very hard for any team to win a game like that and come back in a tough road game.

Just like IF we win tomorrow, it'll be the same tough spot for us next out at Butler.

Well that game against UNC sold out for a number of reasons. Hey, Dean Smith was in the building. There was a local UNC player who was a star, Salvatore or something like that. George Lynch VS Jerry. Montrose VS Luther. UNC was ranked way high and I think went on to win the national championship. It looked for a while we had them but down the stretch we didn't hit our shots. Place was rocking.

Was that the game when Dean complained that the tix SHU comped to him were not close enough (I think they were like the 10th row)? Even the greats have some primadonna in them.

I think that's correct and may have been related to so many of Salvadori's family and friends and he benched Eric Montrose because Luther was destroying him.

Luther was a beast that game. The kid has an amazing story and so glad to see him back in the seton hall family. Some interesting interviews on YouTube. Watch his story and Check out the singing abilities of big Luther. Puts everything into perspective

It sure sets up to be a HUGE game with a CRAZY atmosphere.

My suggestion is to arrive early, it won't be too cold out on Sunday.

Arena doors open at 11:30 but there are restaurants/bars that open at 11am very close to The Rock.
Even the Krauszers on Market St next to Novelty Burger for coffee/bagel/lottery scratch off.

The entrance at Edison Place will have the longer lines to get in, remember you can enter The Rock at Lafayette St too.

Wear Pirate Blue and do all you can to be in your seats by 12:15 or earlier.
Let the SHU players see a full and energized crowd when they run out of the tunnel.

Get there early
Be Loud early and all game
Wear your pirate blue

And...... by 2:40 SHU has win #21

LETS GO PIRATES!!!!!!!

I'd say this is now the biggest Hall game at The Rock. This will past the Rutger's Senior Day
Heartbreak in 2012. They basically have hit the Reset Button to that game.

When I saw SELL OUT..... first thing that came to mind was the NC game. Sunday game also... Lu was great. Its really a treat seeing him at the games. Pirate Blue Lu.

BEAT the X
Can't wait til game time

How many sell outs gave we had at the Rock? I believe NC State was the first, I just don't remember many.

Didn't Luther miss a dunk in the game vs UNC? That was a tough game to watch.

Win vs Xavier and the ticket is punched. Butler and Depaul only would matter for seeding.

Sold out doesn't mean some of the lame season ticket holders will show. There have been same empty seats all year. Plus students on spring break

I honestly don't want to find out how the scenario plays out if we beat X and go 0-3 to end the season, but 2 losses vs teams RPI 51-100, and 1 losses vs a team RPI 150+ and I won't be relaxed Selection Sunday. I still think we need one more. Having 0 bad losses is big because if we win tomorrow that's our only win vs RPI top 25.

Biggest game since we moved to the rock? This might be the biggest regular season game since the early 90s. Top five team and we are playing for a high seed in the tourney.

Yup. My SH fandom dates to 1999. There has never been a bigger regular season home game in my time. Incredibly excited for tomorrow.
