This one hurts me, I am huge Billy D fan and think he belongs at uf forever. I think Billy is tired of the recruiting side of things though.
very interesting to see who Florida goes after. Billy D made them a College Basketball power and no easy task for a school that is a Football power.
Wonder if Dan Hurley gets a sniff at this? I'm sure they're going to try to after Jay Wright, Tony Bennett, Turgeon.

The SEC is going to be a much more difficult conference to win at with some of the coaching changes the past couple of years like Martin at South Carolina and Bruce Pearl at Auburn and the changes this year with Avery Johnson at Bama, Rick Barnes at Tenn, Howland at Miss State and Mark Fox at Georgia plus the ever present Cal at Ky.
It'll be interesting to see how the Florida job is viewed by the coaching fraternity. It's true the Gators won big under Donovan. But did they win big just because he's a great coach, or did he elevate it into a more attractive job along the way? In any event, it will be a challenge for whoever takes the job because they're replacing a coaching legend.
This seems like a good chance for him to get his big break for sure. Miller or Mack would be good hires too but I'm not sure they'll leave their current situations. You never know, though. Mack was sniffing around for other jobs last offseason and Miller seems primed to move up.
