Bleacher Reports Top Seven Coaches On The Hot Seat .

In addition, I think the following coaches should be on the hot seat:

Brad Brownell (thought he'd be a good hire for Clemson given his decent success at Wright State)
Andy Enfield (still laughing at this hire two years later. One of the worst major conference hires ever IMO)
Lorenzo Romar (has done well overall but starting to wear out his welcome in Seattle as the team keeps missing the NCAA's)
Johnny Jones (big time incoming class but just an awful game coach. This will be interesting to watch develop)

I'll go with Kevin Willard, Brian Gregory, Josh Pastner, Dave Rice, Tom Crean, Johnny Dawkins and Travis Ford.

09
4 right in KW, Gregory, Crean and Rice who I didn't have on my list. Two of the three remaining are from teams in two power 5 conferences.

Pastner is not on the hot seat.

USC made a bad hire with Enfield. Providence made a similar mistake when they hired Keno Davis.

I'll agree with all of the names mentioned except Johnny Jones. While there have been shots taken at his coaching acumen, LSU has gotten better in each of his three years. They lost quite a few close games this past season, but that can partially be attributed to a shaky backcourt. Now he has a much-heralded recruiting class coming in. So even though he loses his two frontcourt studs early, LSU should again be better. I don't think he belongs on the hot seat just yet, as he seems to have the program going in the right direction.

What about Frank Martin? In his three years at South Carolina, his team has posted SEC records of 4-14, 5-13, and 6-12. Improvement, but extremely incremental. With last week's three transfers, you have to wonder whether the natives are getting restless.

I've come to the conclusion that Willard is getting 7 years here. 2 reasons. 1. Too much money owed on his deal which the administration doesn't look like it wants to eat. 2. Look at this roster for this season. No seniors. 2 juniors (Ajou-Anderson) who look to be role players, and the rest freshmen and soph's that are going to to be playing a majority of the minutes. I can already see the "we are young" excuses being used constantly through the season.

I would have pulled the plug after year 4 where that team massively underachieved and Willard lost the locker room then with a senior laden group but he looks to be here for awhile. Plus, can this team really be worse then last season. Perhaps.
