Bobby Hurley

First time in program history UB goes to the tournament. Who did he beat? Central Michigan and Keno Davis...

Yep. Buffalo beats Keno Davis' Central Michigan squad in an entertaining battle between two well-coached teams. Great job by Bobby. It's hard to believe he's only been a head coach for two years. His team executes their offense magnificently. Hurley will be leading a BCS program shortly.

As for Keno, it's great to see him doing such a good job with Central Michigan. They will likely receive an NIT bid. Their Chris Fowler is some player.

i think first time since 95 or something like that, that a school from the state of ohio was not in the mac final

Whoever lands thr brothers Hurley are going to be two very fortunate schools. Its only too bad we dont have an opening....

Neither would likely choose Seton Hall. They probably both have their sites set on a BCS job. The only Big East job I could see either Hurley taking is Villanova should Wright leave for a place like Indiana.

Not sure if Bobby Hurley would be offered a BCS job yet, he is doing well but that is a huge jump.

I know. Regarding Bobby, it's hard to believe he'd accept a job at his brother's alma mater. Danny, who knows? One thing's for sure: they both can do better than DePaul, regardless of what that job pays. It's going to be interested to see where both Hurleys, Archie Miller, and some of the other A10 coaches wind up. The A10 has a nice group of coaches these days.

Jim,
The A10 does have a nice group of coaches. I still think the BE is heads above as a league just look at the BET atmosphere tonight. The A10 coaches must just know that they can do better than the bottom of the BE when they are ready to move.

While the Big East is a better league, I don't think it's a potential landing spot for an A10 coach, unless the Villlanova, Georgetown, or Xavier jobs were to open, The A10 coach most likely to move first would be Archie Miller, and you'd think he'd be earmarked for a BCS school. I've followed his alma mater, N.C. State, for a while, and he'd be a big improvement on Gottfried as a game coach. He'd probably also be a contender at Indiana should Crean get canned. Now that would be a great job for Archie.

In many respects, bobby,s job at U of B is maybe more impressive that Danny's at URI.

Let's see if DePaul makes a move on one of them.

Depaul won't be an option for either Hurley. I could see one at Rutgers (which is not available) or Seton Hall possibly (not sure if Danny's experience negates that). And I've heard from multiple people connected with the family that both would be really interested in the St. John's job, but I don't know if that will be open in the near future.
