Who cares how he seems? This senile old decrepit man just accomplished in one bill more than Trump did in 4 years. Trump liked to say its infrastructure week every other month but never got it accomplished. This is a very important piece of legislation that will push our country forward. Not only will it improve our crumbling roads and bridges, we can modernize the electrical grid, airports, electrical charging stations around the country. Moreover, the jobs that this bill will create will spur the economy. More jobs, more work, more companies doing better. Everyone should be giving a standing ovation for this piece of legislation that is truly bi partisan. I don't care what political belief you may have, this is just excellent for the country.I hope he stays awake through the whole press conference.
Let’s how it plays out in reality. I’ve read all the articles on it too. Seems to address things that we need and hopefully will get folks back to work who need it. If it turns out to be a special interest, most-favored corporation, Union-friendly handout with all kinds of BS nuance and application, most people won’t realize unless it’s reported on.Who cares how he seems? We agree!!! This is needed and has been for quite some time. I just wish it was paid for rather than the estimated cost of an additional deficit of $351 billion with no effect on GDP.Bravo to the 13 Republicans who voted for the infrastructure bill and the 6 Democrats that voted no should all be gone from any important committee and should be given no support. This is truly great spending for much needed infrastructure which creates so many good paying jobs. This May be the turning point for the Biden Administration.
Glad we can agree on something. The BBB has some really good things in it. For example, Medicare negotiating drug prices, tax credits and rebates for solar roofs and electrical vehicles, free day care, free hearing aids for the elderly. The problem that I have with it is that it backed off tax increases. Therefore, it will increase the debt too much. This in combination with how we still have to deal with the shortages of Social Security and Medicare, I have some real concerns with the price tag.We agree!!! Updated Bipartisan Senate Infrastructure Deal: Budgetary and Economic Effects — Penn Wharton Budget Model
The bipartisan Senate infrastructure deal, endorsed by President Biden, authorizes about $548 billion in additional infrastructure investments, which we estimate is funded by $132 billion in new tax provisions and $351 billion in new deficits.
