Lunardi's update has us as an 11 seed play in game, winner vs Witchita State in Brooklyn. Like the location, but wouldn't want to see the Shockers again

Neither SHU nor Witchita St will be in a play-in game.

What i meant to say was he has us vs California in a play in game...winner of that game would play wsu

yep, sorry I read your OP wrong.
I wouldn't mind us in a 7-10 game. Competitive, yet winnable first game and you would be away from the number 1 seeds in the second round.

I thought there was a rule that they try to avoid regular season matchups so i highly doubt we would be paried with Wichita State. I wouldnt mind the play in game either, many times winner of that makes a nice run good for momentum. Remeber Lasalle a few years ago? They went from that play in game to elite 8

If we handle February things will work out. But there is no reason for WSU or St Marys to be ranked if we get almost no votes.

Believe it .Lunardi usually is pretty close on selecting on the last teams in the NCAA Tournament, but he been a little off on the match ups with the lower seeded teams . Also who and where (region) the top 16 teams play , the basketball analysts who follow the college teams are pretty close in predicting the top 16. Then comes the next 48 plus playin teams .There are some very good teams capable of upsetting a 3 or 4 seed . It has happened in the past Last year , the final 4 had 3 of the top 16 seeds plus #7 seed Michigan St. This year is really going to be tough .Don't think Duke and Kentucky are as talented as last year . More of a wide open tournament this year.

With Wichita State, thats what happens when you have an established program, you get the benefit of the doubt sometimes. They have only lost 2 games all year when both Baker and Van Vleet have played. I personally have no problem with them being ranked.

They have played two good teams , and lost to one, who is not getting any consideration. I get the rep thing. And I love their program. But they have beaten one decent team. Saw them play Evansville yesterday, who I think was 18-4, and they (Evansville ) were not too impressive.

Forget about all the bracketology stuff. We win out our home stand and next week they write that the upper echelon of the league is 4 teams with Shu squarely in it.

Protect the home court the rest of the way. Part of that is on us to make the Rock electric and intimidating. Win @ SJU and @Depaul and we will be rewarded with a very nice seed.

Agreed. The team playing hard. The fans need to come out and be the sixth man. My goal is to be at every home game. So far so good ( and 4 away games with 2 in books). Get word out. All fans need to show up at the Rock.

Please no 8-9 game for us! That's a jinx. With our luck we will play someone like Oklahoma or North Carolina in the second round. I will still take it compared to years past.
