Did something happen to Whitehead. I am following at work on ESPN and his stats are the same as they were at halftime

According to announcers he took shot to head, they don't believe he has concussion, but out rest of game for precautionary reasons.

Yes. A really hard screen (legal) where it looked like his head hit the opponent's shoulder. So they're keeping him out for the rest of the game for precautionary reasons.

Evidently second time he's hit his head this week.

Last play of first half he hit the side of head on a pick. Will not play in the second half per announcer. Sounds precautionary due to also banging his head in prior game.

Desi is improved offensively. When Veer is healthy Willard's gotta find a way to keep them both together on the floor as much as possible. Won't be easy but needs to happen.

Seton Hall wins over Bradley.
A better effort with some upside. They kept it together without IW in the
2nd half. good job by Carrington and Gordon.

Sonogo and Nzei are brining some energy to the frontcourt. Sonogo has been
solid at the free throw line. Singh hit a couple of 3's I understand in the first half.

Carrington has been good in this tournament. I missed the first half so I don't know how IW was playing.

The bad was spotty free throw shooting by Delgado and Gordon. Interior defense is still a problematic
issue at times. I felt bad for the multitude of our best fans in Charleston. They are there in numbers
but it looks to be ho hum for them and they are kind of passive. Great fans though.

Don't know what to make of this win ? With Whitehead out the entire 2nd half ,glad we held on to win by 8 .But Bradley is picked 10th or dead last in 3 major college publications (Sporting News,Lindy's, Steele(?) in the Missouri Valley Conference . Wichita State and Northern Iowa, Illinois State are the top of this conference

I just don't know where this team is headed ?

Desi and Ish proving they deserve their starting spots. Desi also showing a nice outside shot. Did what we needed to do tonight; at this point just happy for the win and chance to play a SEC team

We don't look good. Call me crazy, but there is lots of talent on this roster. I would love another guard, and a more reliable second center. But the four forwards all look like they can pkay, IW an KC are good. DG is a good third guard. When angel comes around, who knows. Maybe they can figure out how to get it together. I remain cautious but hopeful.

Desi and Ish really look good. You see the signs with the Veer and Nzei at times as well. Carrington and Gordon look about what we hoped.

I don't think Delgado and Whitehead look good at all and that's what's missing. Both are in total funks, IMO. Neither are playing effectively or efficiently. If you had a top guard/big combo like them the team looks different.

I was pleased with the second half. I think we moved a lot better without the ball. I get the impression people watch Isaiah and forget to move. There were number of times the ball moved inside out. A few times we recognized the proper mismatch and exploited it. Still a very long way to go in order to be a good team, but there's talent and potential that can make large strides here.

This is where I am right this moment, despite my foreboding and despite my sure conclusion about the coach.

Nicely expressed.

It's just tough right now. The buzz is not there. No blowouts in those first 2 wins, Delgado's early season, the fact that they were down to Long Beach St by 16 at any point in that game and then lose the chance for a matchup with a top 10 team. They are 3-1, but it almost seems like they are in a rebuilding mode with a lot to learn. You can see that this season is going to be a challenge.

Desi and Sonogo are the bright spots. Gordon is a good addition. Singh may be able to add some offense out on the perimeter. As you point out they must have IW and Delgado playing on an upper tier BigEast level. In addition the fans will not show KW any favor this year. So that is a cloud that will be there the entire year.

I guess the question is why is there better player movement and better ball movement without Isaiah in the game? It's not like Willard just magically taught them to move in the 10 minutes they are in the locker room at half. Obviously they know what to do they just don't do it for some reason.

Gordon Can't shoot

He's a solid player and really good for this team, but you're right, that's not what he's good at. If we have to rely on it, were in trouble.

He's already taken 6 three's this year. Well, he only took 16 the past two seasons COMBINED. Not his game whatsoever. He's a great defender, a physical guard, and a good facilitator.

I was thinking about this. The WBB team has true Point Guards and deploys them in pairs at times quite effectively. Described this in a long post this morning in some detail. However, the MBB team does not have even one true PG, so a pair of 2G trying to play a 1 and 2 is not natural. My conclusion is that Carrington was free to make decisions entirely and I think he was doing a good job of it.

I did not notice better movement fwiw. IW has been at least ok. I think way better than that. Comparing his start with Angel's is way off imo. We played a bad team even in those last 20 minutes after playing poorly and being up by ten at half.

He took two separate blows to the head which makes it mandatory he be evaluated fr concussion before he is learned to play.

Derrick Gordon twisted his ankle in the first half, so he had it wrapped and switched from white low tos to back high tops. Real gamer!!!

If I'm a reporter the first question I ask Kevin Wilard is...if Singh was available tonite, why wasn't he last night when the game was on the line????

Interesting. Fwiw, I thought there was a more direct kind of decision-making with the persistence of Carrington in the second half. What I mean is that he had to ge the floor general and seemed to inhabit the role less tentatively during that time.

He's finding his way. Some really nice moments, others not. Shooting just .358 from the floor despite leading the team in shots by a huge margin. Not a strong A:t mark either as a PG. He's a gifted player. I'm confident he'll figure it out.

Delgado down to .481 from the floor after .555 last year, only .417 over the past 3. Not good.

We're not going to look good with those two underperforming like they have to start the year. They're too good for this. We'll look much better if they were playing up to par.

I can agree to disagree on the better movement, I think Isaiah has been more than ok, but I think the other around him have not been as good and I'm not blaming IW for that at all. Where you lost me is comparing his start with Angel? I never mentioned Angel at all.
