Academia is flourishing. Two new schools announced within the last 6 months, Medical School and Communication and the Arts. There is much to be proud of here. Dr. Esteban take a huge bow. It is well deserved. Let's extend him now and it seems a large raise should also be forth coming.

  1. Yes, Dr. Estaban seems the most dynamic leader the school has had in my memory.

Another long overdue item Dr. Esteban has checked off the to do list! We need to keep this guy in South Orange!

Agree he is doing a very good job at SHU. I hope the Regents are working hard to keep him.

Heard he is on for another 5 years . Most visionary president since 1960 when I started. Bravo indeed and encore ! encore!

Wish this were true but it's not.

No extension beyond his original hire has been made yet. Hoping down the road it will.

Well the Regents just met the other day so maybe nothing has been announced yet. Hopefully it's true! Dr. Esteban is the best thing to happen to Seton Hall in a long time!

I don't think that you're correct on the extension, but if you have a good source I'll be happy to be wrong.
I have been told there is a group of the Regents that is holding this up. Keep us appraised if you will.

Why in God's name would any of the Regents hold this up!? WTF!?

BOR fast tracks an extension for a failure MBB HC, and holds up rewarding a President who has accomplished more than many of his predecessors....brilliant

"The Seton Hall Way" ... You've surely heard about this before 85... SHU as an institution does almost everything ass backwards and they are never embarrassed about their incompetence.

I have been told in absolutely no uncertain terms that the above and I quote is TOTAL BULL@#$&. This coming from someone involved in the situation.

I'd be lying if I said I have any clue about the above short of talking to people involved.

I am just passing on their information. And this person I talked to I have 100% trust that he gives me his information straight pulling no punches.

The question is does your source, a BOR member I assume we all know from this board, realize that if Seton Hall continues to drag their feet on this contract extension, we could lose Dr. Esteban to bigger and better things. Just saying

I have sources in and out of the BOR.

Regarding the situation...everyone at SHU loves the job Esteban has done. I have little doubt he will be treated as he deserves.

Seton Hall knows they would be foolish not to do all possible to have our President return.

Some of the posts on this board are unbelievable, if it is not fact than do not post it on this board.

Why is it that no one ever thinks that Seton Hall could be the bigger, better thing? Pathetic.
