They used the pass to move the ball much better than us. SHU is known for going 1 on 1 to move the ball and we tripped ourselves up a lot, literally. This caused many turnovers. Under Willard our offense is just not that good. His coaching on offense is masked my the talent of these sophomores.

They're more seasoned. Relying on the team concept.

We are the younger team. More physically gifted relying on talent over scheme.

Agree with this. Fair assessment.

This is why players should ****stay the four years**** to accomplish full understanding of the team concept.

This morning Butler is #34 in KenPom. I think they were 40's going into yesterday's game. They are a good team despite a now 6-6 conference record. They did beat Purdue (#17) and Cincinnati (#31) earlier this year.

Their offensive adjusted efficiency is 11th in the nation. They are excellent at spacing the floor, moving the ball, and attacking. Plus they're damn strong. They are the epitome of a veteran team relying on the likes of Jones (5th Year SR), Dunham (SR), and Chrabascz (JR) doing the little things all over the floor.

Yes, but in past games, other guys besides IW made good passes. Last night it seemed no one could get going. On the way home I was thinking of the Creighton loss. This one was not at that level, but it was similar in that they did us in all game with the same stuff and we never adjusted.

We played a sloppy game on offense too. So many layups missed, the FT's were an abomination, we were a turnover machine for a long stretch of the game.

We let Dunham drive the lane like he was Steve Nash last night.

Piratz, do you really think the free throws were an abomination?

We shot 68.8%, which is actually better than our season number so I shouldn't call it that. But the two misses by Gordon at a big moment late drove me nuts.

We came out without the usual spark. To me it looked like we were burned out mentally and did not stay focused. We have a young team, and it needs to develop consistency individually and as a group. Butler was more hungry and played an excellent game. They also are great with their fundamentals. What killed us again was foul shooting and missed layups. We need to execute and finish. If we get those under control we will be fine without a doubt.
