Sorry for the RU topic but just watched a little of RU Rider game and I saw the sit nature on the court. She was really that deserving of that?

makes me think we should do a PJ tribute On our home court.

You need to win at least 1 natty to get a home court named after you. Not to mention she was grossly overpaid.
Which is it? Name Pru Center floor after P.J. (where he never coached a game) or win a national championship?

BTW, 535 wins at RU. Eight Sweet 16s, five Elite Eights, two Final Fours including one final game appearance.

thanks For confirming the accomplishments. PJ paved a road for the program; whether that’s court naming worthy is debatable but I’d have no issue with it.

What PJ did was beyond amazing. But his stay was too short to get naming rights for me. Should be reserved for the Louies. Boeheims, who spent most ot the like in the school. Maybe we should name Walsh's floor after Honey Russell...

I love P.J. and appreciate what he accomplished but in no way should we be considering naming the floor after him. That bar should be much higher. I'm not sure CVS merits it but she's far higher on the list than P.J. would be.

I could actually see naming Walsh after Honey Russell but they're probably saving that for Tony (he says only half jokingly).

The problem with naming a court now for PJ or Honey is those ships have sailed. PJ is gone almost 30 years; Honey... more than 60. And speaking of the height of a proverbial bar, isn't our sports "complex" named for Richie Regan?

No fan but seems deserving notwithstanding her last few years and the exit
She stayed three years too long and left the program a complete disaster
Hinson,

Who is more deserving of the honor at RU - Grentz or Stringer?
Stringer. Grentz while great never took RU to a FF. She did win the NIAW National Title, but most of the top teams were in the NCAA that year. Her best year in the NCAA was an Elite 8 appearance (her only one). CVS went to 5 Elite 8, eight Sweet 16s, two final fours and played for a National Title. It is close, but Stinger was better.

Gene Keady, Lou Henson, Eddie Sutton, Bob King, Bobby Cremons, have courts named after them. CVS is more deserving than all
of them

Only RU fans like her all the rest know the other side of her awful personality.
If we're judging off the court stuff, at least one of the five above (maybe two) had NCAA violations and one other accepted a job and then reneged within days of the press conference.

Lots of winning coaches are bad people. Plus a lot of people are extremely fond of her, including her ex players. I have heard a lot of negative off the record comments about her, but few go on the record. I don't know her personally, so my comments are about her on the court record.
