Capitalism USA vs Japan

"Historically, cultural attitudes towards suicide in Japan have been described as "tolerant", with certain types of suicides being considered honorable, especially during military service."

vast majority are men age 25-44... aka prime time providers.

The article throws stats without analysis or background. Are Japanese people as leveraged as Americans? What are the pay differences among teachers, construction workers (are they accounting for other benefits?) Difference between lowest earners is inconsequential. Suicide is irrelevant except to show that this is not apples to apples although globalists want it to be

this board is absurd defensive

Ya think?

Like we can’t look at other countries and see what is working for them there better than it is here? Is there a rule that says if we started to reduce the wealth disparity in America that people would start killing themselves more? Or is that just entirely unrelated to economics?

There are so many factors that create wealth disparity and I’m for understanding the why’s. Are there cultural differences? Are Japanese more disciplined about savings? What legislation have they passed that has led to more balance? To compare some raw numbers without any context opens the conversation up for any random observation.

absolutely agree.

Being a superpower that stoped Germany in World 2 when no other country could puts on a different level.Japan
is a different culture very disciplined on saving money also doesn’t have to provide the defense dollars that we do.
demographics will eventually cause problems due to low birth rate.Maybe if we didn’t rebuild Japan and rest of the world after the big war their economics would be different. They don’t have 50 million people on food stamps when there are jobs open all over.let’s be honest Japanese look at welfare when jobs are available with distain.Wish we could say the same for all our citizens.check our out of wedlock birth rate compared to Japan etc.they teach their kids in school and compared to the public schools in many big cities their 8th graders would surpass high school graduates on math reading which is national disgrace. Some of the reasons our net worth average lower.

This is actually a problem America should be looking into with as much resources however instead we're worried that how happy all 68 genders are and transgender bathrooms in malls. In the mean time the rich keep running to the bank, while the poor and middle class struggle more and more. One day people will wake up that woke culture is forcing us to focus on the petty problems and ignore the giant ones right in front of our faces.

The road to solutions almost always leads to education. Yet our country continues to go down the same path year after year. The true definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. School choice has been under discussion for many years but the paybacks to politicians are just not big enough.
