Carino: As "Hall Line" marks 50 years

I used to work with the wife of Larry Londino, who is pictured twice in that story. I knew he went to Seton Hall, but never realized he was a Hall Line host.

Hats off to Tony Bello and Harry Shapiro, who were kind enough to let me co-host Hall Line with them in the late 60's. Wonderful memories of those days. I also loved listening to Joe Bakes and Bob Windrem (among many other greats) on Hall Line in the 60's. Sadly, I also remember Jerry Criqui, younger brother of veteran sports announcer Don Criqui. Jerry was a really great young man who died in a tragic accident one summer while he was enrolled at the Hall. Jerry was wonderful on air and had a bright future ahead of him.

The 50 year anniversary of Hall Line Makes me think of my favorite hall line host, our friend pir8tes, Tom Powers. he hosted for about 6 years thru his undergraduate and Graduate years

Miss You Pir8tes

Can't believe that Tom left us so early. Sat by him at all the games.

Always told me that Steff Curry would never make it in the NBA. We used to debate that all the time. Now I can't rub it in his face. LOL

Great story about Tom. We shared the same birthday and he used to send me a card about a month before that date. I used to ask him why are you sending the card so early? He would then say because I wanted to make sure you didn't forget my birthday.
