As Seton Hall attempts to break a 22-year drought at Villanova, a look at their on-campus gyms and what might have been.

The best home-court advantage in the Big East is a cozy on-campus arena that sends most visitors home with two headaches: one from the noise and the other from the score.

Villanova owns a record of..............

I didn't read the article, but didn't we look into that back when Brennan had pockets full of money for us in the 80s and determined Walsh could not be expanded enough to meet BE minimums.

True 75. Two issues that killed the plan was that there wasn't enough of a footprint to do what was needed to expand Walsh especially on the Ward Place side and the lack of parking plus there were some zoning issues .

I know I'm in the minority with this but I hate watching college bball in pro arenas. I would take a 6,000 seat Walsh over the rock 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

I wish we played more OOC games at Walsh.

Boston C did the same thing with the Conte Forum. Seton, in the past, has always seemed to be perfectly happyto follow in the footsteps of fellow-league bros GTown, Johns, and Prov in basically playing all games in major arenas[although the Johns deal would certainly be fine with me; pretty much an even split between the Garden and on campus]

Don't forget that they were flirting with the idea of making the South Mountain Arena into a mid sized home, even giving it a sort of two-year tryout while the rec center was being built.

If you remember Cody at one time wanted to tear down the South Mountain Arena and build a new, larger arena that SH would use .
