What an easy going modest young man. Talk to him and he's genuine. There's no feel whatsoever that you're getting played and being told what you want to hear.

Soft spoken and respectful. A person who wanted to come here so badly he recruited us as much as we recruited him.

Never complained or sulked las year, just does his thing....gives 100% and hard work.

I can't remember (if ever) a player who scored zero points getting a standing O from the home crowd when he left the court.

I met Ish's father down in Charleston as he was rooting on his son. He is from the area. Ish lives with his mom I believe.

Father was as modest as his son but he said that his son thinks about basketball and getting better 24/7. Has a great work ethic and realizes he has a long way to go. I found that last part strange as some parents usually overhype their kids [and ISH was having an excellent tourny]. Sounds very grounded.

His father told me that he has known Kevin Willard for a very long time as they were in some kind of kid boot camp when they were younger. His father will tell you that his connection was the initial intro to SHU through Kevin Willard. As they have always been friends.

Ish sat at our table at the Beefsteak Dinner as a Freshman. He was polite, friendly and a down to earth young man.
