Harvard definitely opens doors in the many fields after graduation, but my personal experience having gone to SHU and seeing the great success by people I graduated with, I can tell you that SHU would be a great option for him in basketball as well as in life. Plus most of my Ivy League friends went broke in the late 90's with failed .com startups. A few of them still had their parents paying their rent 10 -15 years after graduation. But to their credit, going to the nyc bars in the 90's with them, I can say the "I just graduated from Harvard" line worked well with the ladies.
